Even though it is officially Spring......Winter refuses to release us from its cold and ice laden grip. We just accumulated about 6 inches of snow on Friday, if not more. I am just guessing based on the fact that when I took my dogs out to go potty, they took one step off the deck and disappeared. Poor babies. I had to shovel them a path to freedom. (I have 2 little toy rat terriers)

Well, I am back on the art track. We have had a lot of things going on in the family lately, but now we are settling down again, and I am able to focus some time on my art work. If I could make art for a living I would absolutely love it. I am at the stage in my life right now where my one and only child is (or will be) eighteen next month and has moved out already (even though she still comes over several days a week, raids the fridge and pantry, and hounds me for cash) and since I share a house with my sister and now my brother, I really don't need to make as much money to survive as I used to. I am thinking that a part time job would provide me with a modest income and allow me time to make my art and possibly get involved in other things to promote the sale of my art. I just posted my latest work, a batch of pretty little bird cards. I don't know what I am going to do with them yet, frame them, or make them into a book or something. I really like them and think I will make some more nature themed items in celebration of Spring.
